Friday – quotations from Act 2 due; Quiz on Acts 1 and 2

Tuesday – reviewed R and J Act 1, scenes 1 and 2, library to get new independent novels for the semester

Wednesday – classes together to discuss power in R and J, in our own lives, and in govt; chip game; power packets for HW

Thursday – read 1.3 and 1.4 and gave out Act 1 worksheet, due Monday

Friday – collected power packets; read 1.5, and work time on questions/Queen mab illustration/chart – due Monday

***Bring R and J and independent novel everyday!!!

BLOCK – finished Mango (6-10) – questions due Friday; commas in Grammar Guide; indep. novels

FRIDAY – collected Mango questions; semi-colons and colons; discussed options for creative pieces in Human Rights magazine

HW – read independent novels and work on projects!!!

TUESDAY – Read and Feed!!! Discuss independent novels and bring food to share!; collect Mango Street HW; read independent novels over break and think about which projects you will do for portfolio!

BLOCK – reviewed lit terms, discussed Nothing’s Changed, read chapter 21 of KB

FRIDAY – reviewed chapter 21, students read chapters 22-23 (135-147) and pulled five main points to summarize chapters in notebook, while I individually conferenced with students on their KB paragraphs
